The two year presidential term of office for our current President, Prof Allan Young will come to an end at our next Conference in Houston, Texas in September 2018. ISAD is now looking for nominations for presidential candidates to stand in the online election to be held from July 2018.
Job description
The opportunity to lead the Society forward in the next stage of its development towards fulfilling its role as the scientific society representing researchers, clinicians and key opinion leaders in the area of affective disorders. The President occupies a significant international position in the field of affective disorders and with the council’s consent can set the strategy for the society.
Who can stand?
Any Fellow of the International Society for Affective Disorders may stand for election.
A Fellow or Distinguished Fellow may nominate themselves or another Fellow or Distinguished Fellow they feel would be suitable. The nominee must agree in writing to be nominated. Each nomination must be seconded by another ISAD Fellow.
The presidency is not open to affiliates of the society. Geographic region is no barrier to nomination.
Deadline for nominations is: 30th June 2018
Elections will be held in: July 2018
